COVID-19, Wuhan Lab, and What's Next? -- Nipah, That's What's Next!

Permalink 08/09/22 22:29, by OGRE, Categories: Welcome, News, Background, Politics, Strange_News

Things are about to get a lot worse if this is accurate. We know that the other issues we've had with COVID were not nearly as bad as they were made out to be. But this could be a different situation.

China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, where the COVID-19 pandemic may have started, conducted work on a deadlier virus with a 60% lethality rate, according to recent Senate testimony.

Steven Quay, a medical doctor, told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs subcommittee on emerging threats that the Wuhan institute carried out synthetic biology research on the Nipah virus genome in December 2019, around the time the first COVID-19 cases surfaced in Wuhan. Scientists are divided over whether the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 emerged naturally through animals or can be traced to a leak or accident at the Wuhan facility.

“The Nipah virus was in an infectious clone format,” Dr. Quay testified. “Nipah is a BSL-4 level pathogen and a CDC-designated bioterrorism agent. This is the most dangerous gain-of-function research I have ever encountered. We should assume this research continues to this day at the WIV.”

If confirmed, China’s research on Nipah could violate the Biological Weapons Convention, which Beijing has signed, that prohibits work on agents that can be used as bioweapons.

Nipah is smaller than the virus behind COVID-19, known as SARS-CoV-2, and is less transmissible.

“But it is one of the deadliest viruses, with a 60% lethality,” said Dr. Quay, chief executive officer of Atossa Therapeutics, a Seattle-based pharmaceutical company.

“This is 60 times deadlier than SARS-2,” he said, using the shortened term for the virus behind COVID-19. “The lab where the human specimens were processed is not the highest-level biosafety lab, BSL-4, but was in the BSL-2 or -3 facility.”

Dr. Quay said he did not know why Chinese researchers were working on the Nipah virus, “but a laboratory-acquired infection with a modified Nipah virus would make the COVID-19 pandemic look like a walk in the park.”

Unlike SARS-CoV-2, Nipah is unable to spread in the air. Still, if the research produced an aerosolized version of the virus, it could cause a deadlier pandemic, Dr. Quay testified.

A Black Death parallel?

In an interview, Dr. Quay said he discovered the Wuhan study on Nipah in Chinese research data mistakenly posted on GenBank, a U.S.-based repository for DNA sequencing information. Mr. Quay said the danger in China’s work on Nipah is that it could become aerosolized and cause mass death.

“The Black Plague in Europe was a 20% lethal event, and it set society back 250 years,” he said. A Nipah pandemic would “set us back over a millennium, in my estimate.”

That's definitely not a good thing. Then there's this story.

A new type of animal-derived Henipavirus (also named Langya henipavirus, LayV) that can infect humans has been found in East China's Shandong Province and Central China's Henan Province, and has so far infected 35 people in the two provinces, according to an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) by scientists from China and Singapore.

Henipavirus is one of the important emerging causes of zoonosis in the Asia-Pacific region, Shanghai-based media thepaper.cn reported, noting that both Hendra virus (HeV) and Nipah virus (NiV) from this genus are known to infect humans with fruit bats as the natural host of both viruses.

Henipavirus can cause severe disease in animals and humans and are classified as biosafety Level 4 viruses with case fatality rates between 40-75 percent, according to the data from World Health Organization (WHO), highlighting that this is much higher than the fatality rate of the coronavirus.

However, there is currently no vaccine or treatment for Henipavirus and the only treatment is supportive care to manage complications.

The cases of Langya henipavirus so far have not been fatal or very serious, so there is no need for panic, said Wang Linfa, a Professor in the Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases at Duke-NUS Medical School who was involved in the study, adding that it is still a cause for alert as many viruses that exist in nature have unpredictable results when they infect humans.

When it comes to viral outbreaks I don't think that anyone can consider coincidence at this point.

It's obvious, we now have the first ever global outbreak of Monkeypox. Wikipedia states, "Monkeypox was first identified as a distinct illness in 1958." So why is there an outbreak now -- after 64 years (at the time of this writing)? Monkeypox isn't particularly new, and is less transmissible than Smallpox, why would it be able to infect people on a global basis, when it never has in the past? There are many theories as to why this might happen, but there are really only two that are feasible.

1. The vaccines have caused people to have weakened, or wrongly tuned immune systems.

2. The virus was purposely spread. Either by a government, or some other directed initiative.

At any rate, intentional human intervention is required for these types of viruses to spread on a global scale, otherwise we would have seen this in years past.

So let's all listen to Fauci, the CDC, and the FDA and follow instructions... (sarc.)

US Government to Spend Millions of Dollars to Promote Atheism?

Permalink 07/25/22 23:42, by OGRE, Categories: Welcome, News, Background, In real life, On the web, History, Politics, Strange_News

I know this idea appears completely absurd to most people. That's probably because they haven't seen this video. In this video they are talking about genetic manipulation through vaccines -- to stop people from becoming religious fanatics! This is not a joke.

Note: The man in the video is NOT Bill Gates, he's someone with the Department of Defense.

As strange as that video is, this might strike you as even more strange.

“The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) was officially titled ‘DRL FY20 IRF Promoting and Defending Religious Freedom Inclusive of Atheist, Humanist, Non-Practicing and Non-Affiliated Individuals,’” Banks and the Republicans wrote.

“It announced a ‘competitive’ process that would award grants of up to $500,000 to organizations committed to the practice and spread of atheism and humanism, namely in South/Central Asia and in the Middle East/North Africa,” they continued.

The Republicans pointed out that atheism and “humanism” are both “official belief systems” protected under the First Amendment’s right to religious freedom and said they would “like to know what other United States government programs supported with appropriated funds are being used either to encourage, inculcate, or to disparage any official belief system – atheist, humanist, Christian, Muslim, or otherwise.”

Here's the letter from Jim Banks written to Secretary Blinken.

The video seems much less like science fiction now, doesn't it? Is it possible that the vaccine program that they are discussing in the video might be awarded a grant under this program?

This sounds like the plot of the movie "Equilibrium." Only this isn't science fiction.

Things are happening right now all over the world that most people wouldn't even believe are happening. Western governments are clamping down on individual freedom in ways that would result in political suicide. So why are they doing it? Aren't politicians worried about being reelected? Perhaps, perhaps not.

A Plan to Replace US Service Members with Noncitizens?

Permalink 07/14/22 04:03, by OGRE, Categories: Welcome, News, Background, In real life, Politics, Illegal Immigration, Elections

I'm going to keep this short.

A few things are happening that drive me to this conclusion.

1. Vaccine mandates.

The purge that is now underway will hollow out the military, leaving those who were forced to be vaccinated questioning their leaders, and making military service far less attractive to America’s sons and daughters.

The vaccine mandates guarantee to get rid of a lot of service members. Those most likely to resist the mandate are those who understand their constitutional rights, and are also more likely to be conservative. Make no mistake -- this is a "purge."

2. Woke culture in the military.

"We face real threats across the world, yet the Biden administration is more focused on promoting its leftist social agenda in the military instead of countering China, Russia and Iran or creating an effective counterterrorism plan," the senators said in the letter provided to Fox News Digital. "Our military is not an extremist organization, and our service members, by and large all good people, are dedicated, faithful patriots."

The woke training requirements will help to keep recruitment of American citizens down. I couldn't imagine meeting anyone who is joining the US military -- because they want to learn about equity. It makes no sense, and is a waste of time. Military readiness is what's important, not making people "feel like they belong."

However, it does make sense if you want to make sure that you're recruiting the "right" people, and military readiness is not your true goal.

3. Recruitment numbers are down.

So, are we facing a military recruitment crisis? Statistics show that most branches of the military continue to meet their goals. Keep in mind, though, that those goals are getting smaller.

Right now, the perfect storm for a crisis exists, but it hasn’t started raining, yet.

It’s time to start grabbing those umbrellas and creating new strategies to recruit. Otherwise, we will have an issue soon.

It's obvious as to why recruitment numbers are down. Everybody knows this, and it's no mistake. It's being done on purpose. A good question would be, "How can carrier military personnel maintain their positions, while abdicating their duty?" You tell me.

4. US Army lowers standards for recruitment purposes.

The Army is tossing its mandate for potential recruits to have a high school diploma or GED certificate to enlist in the service, in one of the most dramatic moves yet in the escalating recruiting crisis hitting the entire Defense Department.

On Thursday, the service announced that individuals may enlist without those previously required education certifications if they ship to basic training this fiscal year, which ends Oct. 1.

Recruits must also be at least 18 years old and otherwise qualify for a job in the active-duty Army. They also must score at least a 50 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, or ASVAB, an SAT-style quiz to measure a potential recruit's academic ability.

A 50 on the test is a relatively low score, with 31 being the minimum to qualify for service. Combat arms jobs such as infantrymen and cavalry scouts need only minimal scores to serve, while admin work such as a human resources specialist or public affairs require scores of 100 or higher.

A high school diploma is no longer required to join the Army. Who doesn't have a high school diploma -- all of the illegals who are flooding across the border. Considering that many illegal immigrants will have very little work skills, where do you think they might go for employment?

This is obviously a plan of some sort to replace US military members with foreign noncitizens. I can see no other reason for what is happening.

Tell me what you think.

It's 2022 And Gas IS Going to Hit $10 Per Gallon Sooner Rather Than Later

Permalink 06/14/22 12:27, by OGRE, Categories: Welcome, News, Background, On the web, Politics, U.S. Economy, Elections

Everyone knows that gas prices have been climbing, with no end in sight. There's good reason to assume that the price will continue to spike above $10 a gallon sooner rather than later. Here's why.

Although the U.S. has stopped buying Russian oil, the challenge remains that Russia is one of the largest global producers and exporters of oil. There is no way to completely remove Russian oil from the market without sending oil prices much higher — perhaps to $200 a barrel.

Further, as oil prices go higher it increases the appeal of Russia’s oil. Right now, China and India, for example, have tremendous incentive to buy discounted Russian oil.

I believe that Robert Rapier is correct. And it's for that reason that oil will make it to $200+ per barrel. Russia is not going to stop what it's doing in Ukraine, until its objectives are met. Sanctions aren't going to have the desired effect on Russia, because Russia gammed this out a long time ago.

Of course the Legacy/Main Stream Media will blame all of this on Russia's invasion of Ukraine. When in reality, it will be US politically-based economic policy that causes global economic destruction. Not Russia.

Why is the US sanctioning Russia, if doing so helps Russia? We know that it's not hurting them. Sanctions are a double edge sword, and those are sharp on both sides. Forcing Russia to trade oil in currencies, other than the US dollar -- will weaken the dollar. Is that really a smart move at this time?

Things are going to get MUCH worse before they get better.

Baby Formula Shortage Takes A New Twist

Permalink 05/15/22 23:14, by OGRE, Categories: Welcome, News, Background, On the web, Politics

Abbott is the company that was shutdown by the FDA, after some babies became sick and two died from bacterial infections traced back to baby formula. The strange thing is that the offending bacteria -- wasn't found at the Abbott plant.

As parents across the U.S. are scrambling to find baby formula because of supply disruptions, the Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday it would allow some formula products from the shuttered Abbott facility in Michigan to be released on a "case-by-case" basis.

In February, the FDA warned parents not to use certain popular powdered infant formulas manufactured at Abbott's Sturgis plant after receiving four reports of infants who were hospitalized with bacterial infections after consuming formula from the facility. Two of the infants died.

Abbott subsequently issued a recall of all potentially affected products manufactured at the facility and the FDA later shut down the plant after federal safety inspectors found Abbott failed to maintain sanitary conditions and procedures at the facility.

Last month, however, the FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told NBC News none of the bacterial strains taken at the Abbott plant matched those collected from the infants, and the agencies haven't offered an explanation for how the contamination occurred.

For its part, Abbott says its formula “is not likely the source of infection,” though the FDA says its investigation continues.

When it comes to food products the FDA usually works very quickly. The FDA usually locates the source of a food born illness relatively quickly. Because of the manufacturing process, and the tracking that's required for baby formula and other foods, finding the cause is rather routine.

All of this seems fishy to me, because the bacteria that was causing illness, was not found at the Abbott plant. It's also strange because it would be unlikely for bacteria to be in sealed dry baby formula containers. These containers are heated to above 165ºF for 15 + minutes, to make sure that there is no bacteria in the formula.

This of course begs the question, where did the bacteria come from if it wasn't in the baby formula. It also begs the question, why would they allow distribution on a case by case basis if the FDA still suspected the baby food. The only other question is, if the FDA knows that the source of the bacteria wasn't the baby formula, why keep the plant shutdown?

Considering all of the other incidents to happen lately involving the food supply, the questions just keep coming. Why is all of this happening right now? How can we have 20 some-odd food processing plants burn down in (1) year? These are things that run 24-7 and have managed to keep running for years -- without fire incidents. The probability that this many strange things related to the food supply would happen within such a short period of time is HIGHLY unlikely.
